Three men traveling together check into a hotel room. The room costs $30. Each man pays $10 and they go on up to the room. Later, the clerk realizes that the room was only $25. He tells the bell hop to take $5 in one dollar bills and give it to the three men who just checked in. On the way to their room, the bell hop thinks out loud that there is no way that the three men can split their change equally three ways. He gives each of the three men $1 back and then keeps the $2 for himself. So now, each man has paid $9 instead of $10. 3 X $9 = $27.00. The bell hop kept $2; added to the $27 that makes a total of $29. What happened to the other dollar?
