My boys and I have been talking for years about taking a road trip to see a ball game - and we've decided to be a bit impulsive and drive out to Denver this weekend to see a Rockies game. What do I need to know about the stadium? Best seat values? Sections to avoid?

Also, what will probably happen is my wife and older son will drop us off at the game, then go do their own thing. After the game, I'd like to be able to take mass transit back to our hotel. I'm not at all familiar with the Denver area. We haven't booked a hotel yet, so I'm wondering where the best area to look for a hotel would be that would a) be around $100 and b) allow us to take the light rail system (or whatever it is they have in Denver) back to within walking distance of the hotel after the game.
