When I went off to college at 18, I never lived at home again except for 3 summers. We're pretty squished in our little house, and could buy a larger one, but if all our kids are gone in 8 years (our youngest is 10), we'll own a big empty house. I expect them all to grow up and move out, like I did, but on the other hand, I keep hearing that the new normal is kids needing to stay with their parents to save up money, etc. I'm curious as to what other people's experiences are in this area.
