Honestly, BYU needs as many sub 11 second 100 meter guys as they can get in each class, maybe up to 6, regardless of size. At worst this kid is Trey Dye with much better straight line speed. The outside observers of BYU see that the Cougars have a lot of nice top end talent and a good scheme. But, BYU has a lot of guys every year who honestly just aren't athletic enough to be playing at this level. This especially is true of speed guys.

So it doesn't matter if BYU already has Oglesby and Mitchell. It also doesn't matter his size at 5'8" or maybe shorter. BYU needs a ton more true, pure athletes. When was the last time the Cougars had a truely dangerous return man? Slot, RB and return guy. I would gladly sacrifice another TE or DL or fringe LB for a speed guy like this.

Of course we want guys with this speed who are also 6'2" and play at the highest levels in Texas or California or Florida. But, it just isn't likely to happen. To close the gap on the elite P5 and Utah, this is where BYU needs to take a few gambles.
