Maybe something a little more uplifting. And, this isn't just an internet story, because it's my family's story
My wife was very close to her grandmother (lived with her here in Orem while my wife attended BYU). She passed away 12 years ago today.

Gram loved roses, and had some on the border between her yard and the neighbors' yard. When someone new moved in next door, they wanted a fence, and so the roses had to go. Gram was heartbroken, but my wife loved Gram's roses too, and said she would transplant them in our yard.

Well, as I said, it has been 12 years since Gram passed away, and every year since that time those roses have had blooms on August 14th. Here they are from today.
