If I were the kind of cretin who watched GoT (spoilers)
I would be worried by the show's seeming undermining of dramatic heft.

The characters have all developed teleportation powers, plot armor, and become caricatures of themselves, with any earned motivation replaced with simple plot demands. Everyone has become uninteresting. Glorious battle scenes can make up for some of it, but the conclusion is likely being undercut. Unless it ends with the bear island girl on the iron throne, in which case all may be forgiven.

The army of the dead is about half as interesting as any of the factions heretofore presented. What exactly is the ice king's goal? To rule over the world after it is remade into a frozen hellscape? What exactly is the point? What does he get out of it? Zombies to serve him by . . . ? Villains like him are the worst.

Also, why all the hemming and hawing about King's Landing? They act like 90% of the population of the world is there. It's one city; besiege it. Except they don't even need to do that; have the dragons torch the castle. Done. Instead, they are sending the literal king on a suicide mission to pluck off a zombie from an army of the dead so they can persuade the psychotic queen they should have had torched episodes ago into fighting with them and we all know she's going to somehow stab them in the back and it's all going to be terribly justified. The fellowship of the wight has to be one of the most poorly justified "how can we get x, y, and z in the same place?" developments since the dawn of peak tv.
