We are passionate about this team, the players, the coaching staff, your success, and your failures. Often times, we let that passion manifest itself in ways that are not constructive or supportive. At times, that passion pushes some of us to attack in print individual players and coaches out of frustration when we lose.

That same passion also pushes us to come and cheer you on at road games in New Orleans or Phoenix or Boise or (heaven forbid) Laramie. It's that passion that prompts us to review HUDL videos of new recruits, or comb through high school stats of current players, or get to know the backgrounds of players who have unique life stories. It's that passion that makes us roar at the TV while sitting at home alone when one of you catches a touchdown pass, or gets a pick or makes a sack. It's that passion that brings out 15,000 fans on a hot or rainy Saturday in April for a meaningless Spring game. And it's that passion that brings 60k+ fans to every home game at LES, many from hundreds of miles away.

While there is no excuse for when we tear down individual players or coaches for mistakes on Saturday, forgive us these weaknesses as fans, and please know that it is a byproduct of the passion we feel for this team.

At the end of the day, we love you as part of our team. And, yes, it is our team, too. We dont play on Saturdays, but we live and die with each win and loss, with each converted 3rd and 15, and each missed field goal, just as you do. We do that primarily because of you.

While there are far more important things in life than football, on game days, during game time, it doesn't seem like it.

Just know that we all, even the crazy among us, appreciate the effort and sacrifice you each make to contribute to the success of our team. We hope for your success on the field and in life.
