So, I did get the obligatory BYU-will-probably-never-beat-Utah-again comments
a couple of times in church yesterday.

Instinctively, I can see the sentiment.

That said, despite my general negativity right now, this is one I feel is pretty overkill.

1) Sports are cyclical
2) Utes conveniently ignore the late 70s, 80s, and 90s
3) Utes conveniently ignore that Whit is the first (and potentially last) coach to have this kind of success at Utah, largely because he is LDS, and the pool of talented HC-level LDS coaches is thin to begin with.
4) The list of marginal P5 teams with ample resources is legion
5) BYU has openly expressed that it is not interested in playing second fiddle, meaning they will keep trying to figure this out
6) BYU continues to attract top talent - not at all positions necessarily, but nevertheless.

I just wish the inevitable day would come sooner than later, as do we all.
