Greg was a consultant who worked with my team at Microsoft several years ago. I did not know all of this about him at the time, but now wish that I had.

At the same time that Greg's organization was providing services to our team, Gregory Kirk Davis (http://byucougars.com/athlete/m-football/kirk-davis) and I were working together. Kirk passed away in early July of 2015... also due to lung cancer (https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/gkdavis47/journal).

The Saturday before his passing, hoping to brighten his day, I dropped off a football at Overlake Hospital with a card suggesting that he and I get together to watch BYU win some games during the season. Unfortunately, I had to leave it with his wife, Amber. Kirk never completely emerged from the medically-induced coma following removal of his lung.

Both Greg and Kirk seemed to possess an extra-strong zest for life. They are great examples of "come what may" and endure it.
