Our entire football program was built by sitting at a little kids table.
Seriously. I'm not discounting our history but when have we ever been included with the big boys?

1996? Nah, we got the Cotton Bowl instead of the Fiesta.

2001? Nope. We were told we weren't going to a BCS game before the season even ended, even if we were undefeated.

2006-2009?

We have always been an outsider, will always be an outsider, and only recently when our little brother in SLC became an insider did we start to think we too were an insider.

We belong with the big boys but it's never going to happen for geographical, political, and social reasons.

To think the fan base will die off when they are confronted by this fact is ridiculous: the fan base itself is made up of people who belong to a minority religion and take a lot of pride in it. They just want something to be proud of on the football field, as well.
