His ECU performance was not something we should remember fondly

but he was just in the program, and hadn't learned the program. Additionally, he also has had a lot of time to practice with the first string. Quite different than entering a game you didn't expect to play in.

Being destroyed by Wisco also won't help his confidence, but doing well means he could play well against the lesser teams.
