There are waaaaaay too many barriers to byu being successful in college football. And it's not just one insurmountable barrier (the honor code), byu has at least 2 insurmountable barriers. We've been on a steady decline for years now. And it's going to continue.

Big time football and byu are not compatible. Accept it.
