"Uncomfortability" versus "discomfort"
I'm a college professor and I've noticed a trend among one particular cohort of graduate students. They all say the word "uncomfortability" instead of "discomfort".

I've done all the google searches and apparently "uncomfortability" is a word and basically means "discomfort".

I'd never heard it or used it before this year with this particular group of students. But they all say it all the time. They talk about their "uncomfortability" with an article they read or with the current political climate or with an awkward social situation.

What's up with this?

I prefer "discomfort".
