and BYU Football is not dying. We're having a bad year, just like *everyone else* does from time to time. We're just so spoiled by winning that we think a normal thing - having a bad team for once in a few decades - is a sign of the end of days.
It's not the money. Good grief. Notre Dame had a bad team last year, finishing 4-8(The horror! Can you even imagine?). Was it due to a lack of funds? Not in the slightest. Is money behind Texas' current streak of three losing seasons and terrible on-field product, or was it the cause of Michigan's awful '08 and '09 teams? Of course not! Those schools have wealth we can't imagine, but it still doesn't buy perfection. Doesn't even guarantee decent. Nobody gets to avoid the occasional bad year forever.
We'll be back. It's ebb tide, but it'll turn. And I have no time for the turncoats who can't bring themselves to support their school and their team when the going gets a little tough (looking directly at the guy I sit next to at work).
So yeah, give me a break, KSL.
