I realize Koy Detmer had a bad outing against USU; however, I am still a bit
surprised that he did not get an opportunity to prep for BSU and even play in the game prior to Critchlow going in, burning a red shirt. Just seems odd. Kalani did not even speak Koy's name (that I saw in interviews) when talking about BSU prep early in the preceding week. I would have thought that Tanner would start, and if things bogged down Koy would be the next man up. Then, and only then, would Critchlow come in.

It was painfully obvious that beyond the first drive, Tanner was incredibly ineffective. So, I am not sure why he was left in the game for so long. Even if Koy was not to be the next guy up, why not bring Critchlow in earlier to see if he could actually get something done - to do a bit more than take four snaps (four and out)?

The fact that Koy was shelved - bothers me a bit. Other guys have played just as poorly (including Tanner). Seems really odd that Koy, the OC's nephew, has been treated that way. There seems to be so much going on behind the scenes that is not good or productive.
