I will likely be cheering even more for Honduras and Panama (and especially for Peru), but I would certainly cheer for Mexico over the arrogant pampered players from rich European countries.
I have visited rural Mexico and I still have some friends there. They have very difficult lives. Poverty and crime are everywhere - their country is especially ravaged by the drug trade that serves the United States - and Mexican government is so corrupt on all levels that there is no way to fix any of their (numerous) problems.
If winning a match at the World Cup will lift their spirits - even temporarily - well, I am all for it.
