I find it funny that most Ty Detmer apologists want others to set aside logic
and results. Anyone that says he is not cut out for the job must be heartless and impatient.

Let me be the first to tell you that Ty Detmer will go down as one of my all time favorite BYU players. Loved watching him as a player. Straight up baller.

As a coach, not so much.

How do you argue against results, rankings and logic?

Even an argument about intangibles yields a mess. Read the latest article. Usually someone will show promise in a position. They show an aptitude or ability to adjust. All coaches learn on the fly, but there is a difference between knowing someone has potential vs someone that doesn't.

If we truly had an OC that knew what we were doing he would have picked the right offense based on talent, skill, ability, athleticism, knowledge and capability. We are starting over each week hoping something or someone will stick.

Fire away!
