I don't use my i-Phone as a hot spot. I should, but I just never think about it. So, I decided to set it up a couple days ago. I spoke to a Filipino woman who excitedly announced that the change would lower my monthly bill by $80.00. Seemed strange to me. I then learned that the change would also require me to move my plan from the present one where I am grandfathered in, which allows me to upgrade every two years for about $100 and keep my existing phone, with unlimited data. I paused and told the woman I would have to think about it. When I asked questions, she did not give straight answers. Then, she has called me back about five times in the past two days to see if I have made a decision. Seems really strange.

I figured there are CBers who have run into this. I'll be following up with AT&T later - hoping to get someone with more knowledge on the subject. In the meamtime, has anyone here run into this?
