We used to get pretty excited about winning conference championships.
Players and fans alike. Winning the WAC or MWC usually meant that we also finished the season ranked in the top 25. We haven’t been able to do that either since going independent.

That's not the point. The point is nobody talked about moving back to the MWC after we beat those teams.
