In all honesty - there are basically 2 things that could be happening here.
1 - the offense is bad. The coaches are dumbfounded and have no idea why it is bad, and are sure if the kids just execute better it will be good. So they keep doing what they've always done and nothing gets better. And they stay confused about what the problem is - hoping that the next set of recruits will execute things better and everything will be great next season...or the season after that...or the season after that...
2 - the offense is bad. The coaches know it isn't working. They've decided that they need to make some adjustments and are doing everything they can to find the best fit for their guys to be successful. There's some growing pains - but there are also changes occurring and hopefully a light at the end of the tunnel.
So - if I read ya'll right, most of you would prefer option 1 above. I'm glad to hear that it's option 2. Yeah - so this season is bad. I get it. I'm in this for the long haul - not just for this season. If this means we get some committed coaches who are able to build success, I'm in.
We knew we were getting some good dudes who were also inexperienced. I'm not sure why people thought there wouldn't be growing pains. Sure, I hoped for the miraculous too. But this is probably what we should've expected.
