I know this is directed primarily at me. Of course Tom wants BYU in a P5.
Is he going to get us there? Of course not. He has already failed twice, primarily for political reasons imo. As the gap between BYU's politics and the nations politics continues to widen, it will make our prospects even less promising. Do you really think that in 2023 the LGBTQ/womens right movements are going to allow power conferences to affiliate with BYU?

This seems most likely to me. We end up in a somewhat watered down B12 but have P5 status/access. Would be great...
