that the BYU football offices are like a Polynesian paradise, relatives and friend's not involved in the Program all around, and very relaxed! Where is our team supposed to get their intensity? The most intense I have seen the head coach was early in the game against Utah last year, since that time, he has not shown a lot of emotion. I see no emotion from our captains, from our seniors, and their are no underclassmen stepping up. Fred, is sure playing hard, but I cannot think of another player, that has been solid most the time. Dayan, had his moments today, but has had a couple of rough outings. Corbin, seems to play hard as does Sione, and yet neither one of them are disrupting the passing game like they need to. Our safeties, are vastly over rated, and our receivers and running backs, well lets just say, aren't helping our woeful QB play much. Our touted, experienced offensive line has made critical mistakes, and our kicking game, even less effective than last year.
People have asked me, how do you fall this far this fast? And I don't have a good answer.
I support the current staff, and hope they end up being successful, I hate it when we burn bridges with Legacy families, which is now a list a mile long! But we need to see more attitude, more effort, an ability to persevere, and better strategy, and see it soon, or they may be on as short of leash as Roger Reid, during that disastrous basketball season, not that long ago. Starts next saturday! Lets go.
