Just read an article about the new women’s soccer team coming to Utah and it mentioned how difficult Women’s sports have had it - usually under 2,000 fans at most events for women’s sports teams and around 6,000 for the WNBA team.

Gymnastics seem like a much less mainstream sport compared to volleyball, soccer, and basketball. Why do they sellout the stadium for the red rocks? I know they have a history of winning, but so does BYUs rugby team and they don’t have crowds of 15,000+. Neither do BYUs top 10 volleyball teams.
