No more begging people to come help the ward choir. No more bad renditions of great hymns. We still had musical numbers by small groups who really wanted to participate in musical numbers. We also had great number with huge choirs, such as with all priesthood, or all the young women, but we had a very talented man in the ward who would arrange a piano and organ duet to go with the singing, and those were kind of the highlight. The large choirs would just all sing the melody. It was great. Now I’m in a new ward that feels like they have to do the Tab Choirs arrangements of any hymn they sing. Sigh.
