We saw Emery go through a similar adjustment (Bryant too) last year. That's part of the difficulty in transitioning to the D-1 game, guys who were ball dominant in their home towns/high schools growing up sometimes have to adjust to a new role playing off the ball when they progress to the next level. I think TJ can make the adjustment which would allow Rose to have more flexibility in the lineups he uses and ways to throw curves to opposing teams with differing looks from us.

TJ isn't explosive or super athletic but he is effective in getting a step on defenders and turning the corner on them when he penetrates. I agree he is good with the ball in his hands and generally makes good decisions once he puts the ball on the floor. I have confidence he can add to his game by adjusting to playing at times w/o the ball in his hands, it might need some assistance from coaches to put him in position to be successful and build some confidence.
