So its INDIRECT influence in bringing the restored Gospel to people -- does it
justify the type of monetary costs we're talking?
If that was the original goal of BYU sports, then I can certainly see why the BOT wants to pull back on the spending.
Many of us fanz would prefer BYU were funded & managed by folks who care only about the athletics, revenue & winning aspect of the game. BYU's program & following is plenty big enough to compete if the school administrators would simply hand the reigns over to those in the business of building the product.
