I would have no problem allowing it the way I believe it was done not long ago.
If I understand correctly, non LDS employees at BYU could drink coffee and alcohol as long as they were discreet about it in public. As long as it isn’t an episode of somebody being rip roaring drunk I wouldn’t care if they were obvious in public.
