Last year he seemed to get a lot of his looks from transition 3's. Against Gonzaga on the road he had 3 consecutive long 3's early in the shot clock off the dribble. Once it gets into a half court set he is at a disadvantage because he's not athletic and doesn't have the physicality to get to his spots and absorb a body.
His best looks will be early in the clock before a defender can push him around and make him uncomfortable.
Bryant on the other hand likely thrives in half court because he's strong, smooth and has better overall athleticism. He is a far more versatile and valuable player. He would likely do well in any system because he has versatility.
Let tj push the ball for an early look and if it's not there he will likely make an excellent pass. Let's not force him to grind it out in the half-court off-ball. We have enough data that says he isn't a threat in that scheme.
