Fans come here to talk sports. In that context, when culture is discussed, it is team culture. Not race or ethnicity.
There might be rare exceptions. But they are exceptions, and typically they get called out. The board polices itself fairly well. Some people call that arguing, or debate, but when it happens it typically leads to conversations that need to occur.
All I know is is that for some reason, Sitake felt the need to address team culture issues this offseason. Some specifics have been posted about here, and BYU has done some things about it as well with coaching and support personnel changes. And it is not racist to say that because it is not a race issue. It is a program issue.
Let's not conflate the two when it is not the issue. It is about the program, the culture and expectations and accountability. Not race.
Love Coach Sitake. Want him to right the ship. Pulling for him to do it. Hope the changes make a huge difference.
