I am totally fine making elaborate recipes because the end result is usually so much better. But I’m this case, it’s just not worth the effort to toast coconut, make caramel, make shorbread, cut out and cook shortbread, melt dark chocolate, etc.

Just talking about it makes me want to try again, though, so I’ll probably add it to the Christmas Cookie list for 2018.
