My nephew and his wife had their apartment broken into, and had some stuff stolen. The police caught the guy, recovered the items. The police still have my niece's tablet and their gun. They told them they still needed to keep the gun until all appeals are exhausted, but she could have the tablet. However, she keeps getting the run around. It's been two months of calling, going down to the station, and being told the right people aren't there, or they can't help her, or she needs to come back another time. She needs the tablet for school, and can't afford a new one. What the heck does she do to just get her own tablet back?
