And I mean that with real honesty. Being a business owner likely means you put other priorities in life on hold...especially when its a start up.

Expect long days and no life. I hope your wife has no problem raising the kids on her own for a couple years...vacation...huh. Oh and you know those sucky hours you don't want to work, yea your employees don't want to work them either so plan on being there.

Every start up and vertical is different but one thing that has always stayed true..

I've done this a couple times now and while it gets easier each time, the simple things continue to be the constent reminder that it's never as easy as you think.

Personally I would say never pass up the opportunity to be your own boss....but review what I said above and ask yourself and your wife if both of you are okay with it.
