Glass half full - Walk-on Homeruns

I have said this throughout the last year of our offensive struggles, but I don't believe it is athleticism that BYU lacked in the WR corps but playmakers. We definitely missed on many of the top recruits in this class including McKee, Kump and Kaho who were honestly BYU's to lose before last season started. But, on a really positive note we signed some great Walk-on WRs who put up crazy good numbers in HS.

I'm excited that we got Tanner Wall, Dax Milne and Cade Moore to all come to BYU without using scholarships. They guys remind me of the great pass catchers of the 80s and 90s. Then will catch everything, be super shifty but not win any contests at the combine or pro day. We need a few of those types on every BYU team. Then we mix it with a few guys who can take the top off the defense like Trinnaman last year.

This year, I expect Simon, Shumway and Hifo to be better. Davis and Buchanon should be the deep threats. But, we really need some guys that just always get open and catch the ball. Wall, Milne and Moore put up crazy numbers in HS and showed the ability to make plays. They are probably not NFL potential guys. But, they can absolutely make the difference in this BYU offense.
