You kinda proved my point for me...
I actually watched every single game... painfully.

First of all I am still surprised JT wasn't bettter... he was not. That said I saw WRs drop balls right and left... these balls were very poorly placed and many times these WRs were very open. I can think of numerous times Shumway was open cutting across the middle then the ball was tossed behind him and had to hit the brakes, contort, and then instantly get slammed by the guy chasing him only to drop the ball. Similarly, the WR was behind the D and then had to hit the brakes, jump over the back of the DB, only to for the caught ball to be knocked out as the WR came down into a mess of defenders...

Yes part of the is on the WR but more of this is on the QB. The ills of the passing game was way more on the QB struggling with the structure of the offense, finding his place and groove in it, and then learning how the D was defending it.

Talon Shumway, Micah Simon, Akile Davis, Beau Tanner, Trey Dye, Aliva Hifo, Pau'u and others are way more than capable... add in MLP and Bushman and no, I'm really not worried.

Also factor in what you said about the OL with Offensive coaches who have coached this sort of talent before with more of an angle on tailoring the offense to the QB than the other way around...

we'll be fine. I still think we drop most of our P5 games but... it will not be a clock cleaning like it was last year.
