Kind of comparing apples to oranges
Given that most of the teams we were playing in the 80s were mediocre WAC teams. A lot of the teams we're playing now are of that same caliber, but we've also upped the difficulty of our schedule considerably compared to what it was 30 years ago.
Plus, back then we had Ricks as a feeder college and I'd argue that the talent we got was pretty darn good compared to our competition.
