State schools are mostly still reasonable in terms of cost (100k-200k.). Avoid the costs of private schools unless he plans to go into the military. I’m shocked that some people are coming out with 600k-700k debt loads from these private schools. Interest alone will eat them alive. At government loan rates (6-7%) it will be difficult to pay them off and they could collect 30k-40k a year just in interest making paying them down pretty close to impossible. There are 20+ year gov forgiveness plans and ways to work for fed clinics but with the amount he’d make he’d probably be better off doing computer coding or starting his own trade business. Just my two cents.
