USF's win over SMC changed BYU's gameplan. The hope was for BYU to face Gonzaga in the semis of the WCC tournament because we face up better against them. When USF shocked SMC BYU decided they needed to tank and finish fourth so that we still face Gonzaga in the semis. So BYU came up with an unlikely strategy, shoot 20+ 3's (our weakness, and USD's strength). The odds were that this would lead to our defeat. Now we just need to lose one more game for Pacific to tie us in the standings and switch the semi matchup back to us vs. the Zags instead of SMC.

Now like any good conspiracy, there are holes, but can you find them? If not, maybe it isn't so crazy after all...
