Can understand the physical part. What makes it mentally challenging?
I've heard rumors about the high suicide rate. What are the aspects that make it hard? As a family doc I've always thought it wouldn't be bad. I think average income is similar but no residency. Don't have to deal with depression, fibromyalgia, chronic narcotic/benzo use. Granted for me it seems it would get old fast but for the right person it seems like a pretty good gig.

Genuinely curious what the downsides of general dentistry are.
