uneducated (about anything outside of America), nationalistic (choose whatever "nation" or "ite" represents them), and selfish people.

Then I remember all of the people willing to sacrifice time and money to help people that they have never met. People willing to put themselves in harms way to protect others that they have never met. People trying to make their communities and their world a better place.

I'm kind of conflicted when I think about America. I see people that are really self-absorbed and I see very selfless people. I'm not sure if my mind is creating these polarities or if they exist more now than they did in the past.
