NO. And NO.
Two things (among others).

~~ Sometimes when a person wears their glasses and then their vision seems more blurry when they take them off, it means that their vision has changed and they need to update their prescription and eyeglasses.

~~ And — there are a lot of people out there that should wear their glasses all of the time but don't ------ for multiple reasons. Most commonly, they just don't like wearing glasses — the common reasons being-- they don't like how they look in glasses or the glasses aren't comfortable to wear.

When a person does decide, yes, I need to wear my glasses all of the time, then they get used to — guess what? Clear vision! Wow! What a concept. Then once they are used to the clear vision that comes from wearing their glasses, when they take them off they realize how blurry their uncorrected vision really is. The glasses didn't make their vision get "worse." They've become used to the clear vision that comes from wearing their glasses that they should wear all of the time.

When a person who seldom wears their glasses puts them on and comments on how much better they see, I like to ask — why would you not want to see like this all of the time?

Another one is — a person will ask, "do I need to wear these all of the time?" I answer, "well, only if you want to be able to see!" (In a lighthearted tone, of course.)

If you need to wear glasses — put them on and enjoy seeing things clearly!

(None of the above should be considered as medical advice. Just conversation among friends. If you're having problems, see your eye doctor!)
