It is far too difficult to follow Olympic Sports' standings
I like the Olympics but I find it very hard to keep up with the sports as sporting events. For example, where do you go to find out the status of the cross-country tournament? Or records in group play for hockey? How do you find out the applicable rules for qualifying for finals? How do you track short track speed skating? The NBC Sports app is a disaster, as it only pushes video clips of American victories and defeats, along with heartwarming tales of triumph and struggle. But if you want to find out how close the American womens curling team is to a medal, ferggedaboutit. It seems like NBC has forgotten that this is, at base, a series of sporting events. I get that they want to rope in the casual viewer with the fluff, but it should be easier to track the competitions.

Also, the faux snow-covered rock podium in the studio seems silly to me.
