I was thinking about that today. To have had Taylor Sander, Ben Patch, and
Langlois, it’s incredible we didn’t win a championship. All three guys are in the national team gym, and Sander is one of the best in the world. How did we not win? Gotta have an elite setter. TJ Defalco at Long Beach is the best player in the country, but their setter is their MVP.

I’ve been trying to think of other potential replacements. Honestly, I think a dark horse could be a guy named Mike Rogers. You would have played against him at the UV tournaments. He’s the coach for UVU’s club team right now. I wouldn’t call him a “BYU guy,” but he’s very high up in Gold Medal Squared and has UVU sitting undefeated and ranked #8 at the club level right now. Like I said, he’s not a BYU guy, but he could be a guy they consider. He’s a pretty incredible setter, and he could get our guys where they need to be.
