Sorry for the smugness. Wasn’t trying to be smug.

But I do think it is odd that so many have a problem with giving points to diversity candidates. Universities and employees do this all the time, and contrary to what you all think, this isn’t actionable as discrimination so long as the employee is qualified for the position.
