Many people want some kind of benefit (used to be a tax break, ticket preferences, away game accomodations, perks, etc. )

Even those with a lot of money don't want to give money for nothing. They may not care about perks, but will be invested in the end product on the field. Ticket holders, CC donors, boosters...they tend to leave when the program is losing.

CC is dealing with stagnant products in both major men's sports, tax law changes, and many things stated in the OP...no new ideas. Would be a great time for new blood, new ideas, etc.
