That is, I think she’s right that (a) he’s more or less a karaoke artist, not an original (Prince is an original; the Ramones were originals), and (b) that white people, who make up most of the awards granting and music buying population, like to get “black” music from non-black sources.

But none of that makes Bruno a bad guy. In fact, he seems like a great guy who loves music. He’s also an amazingly talented performer.
