However it can be offered in the AAC. There are some really good teams in that conference and the games would be entertaining and we'd be playing for something instead of just being a side show act. And for those that get their kicks out of traveling... you get Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Orlando, Tampa, Connecticut, Cincinnati, Philadelphia. As well as whatever out of conference game you schedule, which in the past took BYU to Cal, Arizona, Boston, Austin, Oregon, Washington.
The love affair with Independence and the teams we get to play is ridiculous. Since going Indy, there have only been 4 teams, maybe, that we've played from the Power 5 that we haven't played in the past. Ironically, we've played more Non-Power 5 schools for the first time since going Independence than we've played P5. So let's stop pretending for a second that as a member of the AAC we won't still be able to schedule these type of games.
