Games against legit opponents. More opportunities to travel to CFB meccas. Youd have to have eaten paint chips as a kid
if you would rather play an away game in Laramie than go to an away game at Tenn or Wisc.
I assume you'll rebuttal with yeah you'll still get those games, which is true, we will just get less of them. We will also get less opportunities to see those teams in provo. But hey guaranteed wins and a trophy for beating tulane...
Whats the potential prize for that you ask? The shot to play a college football blue blood (more likely than not). Why trade in guaranteed games against p5 schools for the shot to play 1?

One main difference is that P5 conferences consider independent BYU a P5 game, so it is easier to schedule us

Exactly my point. By moving to ANY G5, our ability to schedule meaningful P5 games is greatly reduced
