Sorry - you seemed to be saying that indy was bad, which I interpreted as...
...a conference is better. I'm guessing of the options out there, the MWC is one of the better options.
For the record - I don't remember which, but one of this year's recruits specifically mentioned being independent being a cool thing and how much he loved the upcoming schedules and teams BYU would play while he was there. Independence can still be a draw.

One main difference is that P5 conferences consider independent BYU a P5 game, so it is easier to schedule us

Exactly my point. By moving to ANY G5, our ability to schedule meaningful P5 games is greatly reduced
