I somewhat agree; but the false logic that so many subscribe to is that
returning to the current MWC means a return to those days.

One main difference is that P5 conferences consider independent BYU a P5 game, so it is easier to schedule us

Exactly my point. By moving to ANY G5, our ability to schedule meaningful P5 games is greatly reduced
