I don't know the answer to this but compare the NFL players during the Max Hall
era to the NFL players during the Taysom Hill era. I would bet it's double during the Max Hall era. I'm talking players who made an NFL roster at least once.

One main difference is that P5 conferences consider independent BYU a P5 game, so it is easier to schedule us

Exactly my point. By moving to ANY G5, our ability to schedule meaningful P5 games is greatly reduced
